If you’ve been watching or listening to us you will know that we want to stay away from being general in everything we do. Why? Because marketing ourselves by saying that were better or we have the best price etc. is a huge waste of time and money period.

Heres a different way to sell something without being general.

Pick one product or service that gives you the most profit and market that single item. So, Single message, Single offer.

An example is like most pizza places will send out a flyer about their whole menu. They have meat lovers pizzas, vegetarian pizzas all different kinds. What i would suggest is to pick lets say a vegetarian pizza and market that pizza only to vegetarians. Make a vegetarian week theme for example.

A pizza place that does this already is Me N Eds pizza parlour. I get a flyer every time they market something and that something is usually 1 or 2 different pizzas. I believe the last promotion that was marketed was the Caribbean theme. By the way these guys charge more than any other pizza place I’ve seen which proves how people pay more for difference.

Its like those books you see that cure 100 different diseases, they claim to have cures for arthritis, colitis, cancer or whatever. They are trying to sell everything to everyone and anyone.

What I would do is chose one and all marketing messages would be tailored for that specific problem. Think about it. Its easier to market to people with arthritis only instead to everyone with every problem right? Why because theres one solution to one specific problem and its definitely easier to speak to them.
